Solving Bathroom Storage Woes

Decorating a bathroom presents many challenges. Many deal with lack of space, little to no storage, moisture control of decorative items, organization and personalization.
By juxtaposing personal touches with storage jars you can create a seamless vignette. That’s where Anchor comes in. We have a wide variety of storage solutions for the home. You can buy several of one kind, or collect an array of styles for a more eclectic feel.
If you have limited space:
Find shelves that fit your style and load up on Anchor storage containers. Using a variety of storage containers can create visual depth to any space. Our classic storage jars hold cue-tips and cotton balls perfectly and tall and skinny containers are helpful in narrow spaces.

The square stacking jars allow you to choose from three different sizes while still in the same footprint.The polished metal also matches more modern fixtures.
The Bamboo Hourglass has a more contemporary shape and the lid has a rubber gasket to prevent moisture build up. The lid also works well with a variety of wood accents.
The Heritage Hill jars are all glass and offer a classic general store style.
The Cracker Jar with its threaded metal lid has a more feminine feel.
If you travel a lot:
Miniature hotel soaps and shampoos make an interesting collection in our cracker jars (they also come in handy for guests).

Substance
Anchorware Everywhere
While on a trend hunt, we found a store called Substance. It was the perfect place to pull inspiration for textures and patterns. Although they don’t sell housewares, they hand craft clothing in the store (which we deemed as pretty cool). Their colors and material choice are something to admire, but the way they store their ribbons and buttons we just couldn’t help but share. They have a collection of our cracker jars to hold their notions.
Substance is a store in the Short North area of Columbus, Ohio. They have a wide selection of hand crafted, sustainable and designer wears. Their website is www.shopsubstance.com, where you can also find their blog.

Pantry Storage
Anchorware Everywhere
One of the things that we love about our consumers is that they find clever ways to solve their household storage issues. We've seen our jars used in so many ways, but we still can't get enough of seeing pictures of their storage solutions.

Writer of the Sweet Tea & Lemon blog loves using various sizes of our cracker jars to organize her pantry. "These Anchor-Hocking jars were next on my list. I filled t hem with all of my baking supplies and marked them accordingly. I can’t help it. I hate the look of packaged food." Read more from her blog at Sweet Tea & Lemon.

Hot Cocoa Gift
Anchorware Everywhere
I was on the sunset.com site before Christmas looking up recipes for gifts that I could make for the family and I came across a bunch of cocoa recipe. The example photo they had for the peppermint stick cocoa was in a cracker jar. I actually ended up making about ten different cocoa mixes and a handful of cookie and bread mixes in anchor storage jars and passed them out to friends and family this year. I personalized them with ribbon and recipe cards detailing the directions.I even purchased holiday scrapbooking paper and cut circles and spray fixed them on to the lids to make them more festive.

Try this great hot cocoa recipe from sunset.com:
Layer the ingredients for homemade cocoa in a jar, add a ribbon and a tag, and you have a simple but stylish gift. This mix will fill a 1-quart jar (12 servings), but if your containers are different sizes, just keep the ratio of ingredients constant. On the back of the tag, write: "Mix contents in a large bowl. For each serving, place 1/3 cup cocoa mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup boiling water. Store remaining mix in airtight container."
Yield: Makes 1 quart mix or 12 servings hot cocoa
Ingredients
* 1 cup powdered milk
* 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
* 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy
Preparation
Layer powdered milk, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, chocolate chips, and peppermint candy.
