How to use a party bowl

The Anchor Hocking Party Bowl is an entertaining workhorse. Its size and convenient lid makes the bowl a great choice for multiple applications. Because it is made from glass it doesn’t stain or retain smells, giving it uses beyond just cooking. Here are some creative ways to use this versatile dish:

Potpourri

This bowl’s stylish shape lends itself to home décor as naturally as it does to desserts. Put it on a sofa table and layer potpourri or scented pinecones to create a decorative way to display seasonal fragrances.

Trifle

The tall sides of this dish make it perfect for layering. It has the classic shape of a trifle bowl without the stem base, which makes it more manageable for away-from-home gatherings. Layer the dish with fresh fruit, sponge cake, and whip cream for a stunning traditional trifle. Or use layers of colored gelatin between whip cream for a fun treat.

Seven-Layer Dips

Fill the bowl with savory layers for a seven-layer dip. Spread layers of refried beans, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. Finish with shredded cheese, tomatoes, and chopped black olives. Serve with chips for a festive appetizer.

Floating Centerpiece

Create a centerpiece by placing items such as flower petals, shells, or decorative rocks in the bottom of the bowl. Fill with water and add floating candles. Light the candles for a glowing centerpiece everyone will love.
